Vice President Eric Rickard leads Booz Allen Hamilton's Cyber Physical Systems innovation and business agenda. He jointly developed his innovation agenda by blending the system solution needs of their Department of Defense (DoD), manufacturing, energy, and health clients. Eric leads a team of engineers and scientists who are experts in cyber physical systems engineering design, architectures, and solution delivery.
Eric has worked in the DoD and intelligence community for more than 20 years. He is a recognized expert in innovative engineering team development, technology transfer, and cybersecurity business operations. He has a broad engineering background in software and systems development processes, adaptive systems, multilingual speech and image processing, and extreme big data analysis.
His extensive technology background is the product of his collaborations with world-class engineers and scientists at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Intelligence Advanced Research Project Activity, National Science Foundation, DoD research centers, numerous research institutes, and national labs across the U.S. He maintains an equally extensive network of researchers and high-tech innovators to supplement his Booz Allen staff. Many of his prior research teams have gone on to found publically known or traded companies, such as Nuance Communications, Intuitive Surgical, and Siri.
Today, Eric focuses on protecting the public and the U.S. from the ever-emerging and complex cybersecurity actors who threaten to disrupt our national defense, critical infrastructure, healthcare, and business interests.
Eric holds a B.S in physics from Syracuse University.
