ISR MSSE alum appointed GE's Saudi Arabia Healthcare CEO

ISR alumnus Ali Saleh (ECE BS 95; MSSE 1998) has been named president and chief executive officer of GE Healthcare in Saudi Arabia. He will be responsible for driving the company’s healthcare operations with a continued focus on bringing GE Healthcare’s global experience and innovation to Saudi Arabia, strengthening public-private partnerships, and promoting GE’s "healthymagination" initiative.

His appointment is supported by Karim Karti, President and CEO for GE Healthcare’s operations in Russia, Turkey, Central Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Karti said, “Saudi Arabia is a key strategic growth market for GE Helathcare… Ali Saleh will continue to strengthen our operations and partnerships driving the next stage and growth and development for GE Healthcare in Saudi Arabia.”

At the International Conference on Healthy Lifestyles & Non-Communicable Diseases in the Arab World and Middle East held in Saudi Arabia from September 10-12, 2012, Saleh said, “Our 'healthymagination' strategy complements the goals of the Ninth Development Plan of Saudi Arabia to enhance the operational efficiencies of the healthcare sector and to provide more access to quality healthcare for a larger number of Saudi nationals. We are also focused on strengthening the competencies of Saudi healthcare professionals by providing intensive training on a number of frontier fields including clinical, technical and leadership trainings.”
