Uwe Helmke

Uwe Helmke is a Professor of Mathematics from the University of Wuerzburg in Germany, as well as professorial fellow at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Melbourne University in Australia. He received his PhD in 1983 from the University of Bremen and has been subsequently postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University (1983) and the University of Regensburg (1984-1995). Since 1995 he holds the chair in real analysis at Wuerzburg University. His research interests include linear and nonlinear control theory; control of algorithms and computational dynamics.
