Wireless Sensor Networks for Internet of Things focused Embedded Systems

Connected devices are more prevalent than ever, but what does an Engineer need to understand to effectively architect the networks they will use to share information? We will show you how to get started with wireless sensor connectivity using the demo ready TI LaunchPad™ SensorTag kit. Deep dive into the different methods of connecting sensors to networks, how to scale those networks, and then get hands-on with BLE and Sub-1GHz RF to showcase the sensors in action. Internet of Things (IoT) applications introduce many complexities to embedded systems, so you will learn how to jump start a design and find an ideal protocol stack and link topology to suit your project needs.

Benefits of attending the workshop:

  • Understand how wireless technologies are used to create networks and their trade-offs
  • Expose students to ARM architecture and the flexibility for simple projects to highly sophisticated systems
  • Bring practical learning to students
