FPE summer camp! Engineering Design: Life Safety and Fire Protection

The Engineering Design: Life Safety and Fire Protection camp offers participants a glimpse into what fire protection engineers do. Over a 4-day period, high school students will learn engineering concepts, participate in experiments and work with engineering software. The camp will be taught by FPE Chair, Jim Milke and FPE Clinical Professor, Ken Isman. Optional post-camp workshops will offer opportunity to learn about the industry from various industry professionals who are also alumni.

Topics will include Fire Behavior, Material Flammability, Life Safety Analysis and Fire Resistance. Platforms utilized include Zoom, Google Suite, Pathfinder and CFAST.

Cost: $100*

Registration is required and must be submitted by Friday, June 12.
