Title:  "Zero Trust: Survival of the Fittest"

Abstract: Many organizations are struggling to keep up with the evolving cybersecurity landscape, and have been relying on perimeter security solutions to keep malicious entities out of their infrastructure.  With the hype of Zero Trust (ZT), organizations have been trying to figure out how to modernize their cybersecurity architecture, but are questioning where to start. Successful implementation of a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) requires a change in technologies, a change in processes, and a change in mindsets.  This talk will provide an overview of Zero Trust, key technology trends that organizations are using to move to a ZTA, and the people and process challenges that slow ZT adoption.

Bio: Michael Lundberg is a Principal Solutions Architect within Booz Allen Hamilton's National Security Sector (NSS).  He leads a team of developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity subject matter experts in the modernization of cybersecurity architectures across the DoD, Civil Government, and Commercial markets. Michael has been architecting and designing networks, unified communication systems, and cybersecurity solutions for over 17 years. In his current role, Michael is responsible for assessing organization's current cybersecurity posture, and helping them design and implement modern ZTAs. He is currently leading multiple ZT modernization efforts for the DoD and Federal Civilian Executive Branch (FCEB) agencies that align with the president's executive order to improve the nation's cybersecurity posture. Michael received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 2005.
