'RFF' wins 2008 International Planning Competition

ISR recently hosted Florent Teichteil-Königsbuch, from ONERA, the French aerospace research lab for a year-long stay as a visiting researcher.

During Florent's time at ISR, he developed a new planning system called RFF with an ONERA colleague, former UMIACS postdoc Guillaume Infantès; and UMIACS Assistant Research Scientist Ugur Kuter. Kuter is a 2006 Computer Science Ph.D., advised by Professor Dana Nau (CS/ISR).

RFF has won the Fully Observable Probabilistic track of the 2008 International Planning Competition.

Florent writes that the results "would not have been achievable without the great cooperation with Ugur Kuter and Dana S. Nau. I hope this is the beginning of a fruitful cooperation and a series of great joint research results."
