Airline mergers are inevitable, Ball says

Professor Michael Ball (Smith School of Business/ISR) is quoted about the inevitability of airline mergers in a Dallas Morning News story. Ball says that it is logical and expected that companies will want to consolidate their positions by merging, and that mergers are good for the airline industry as well as for customers.

Ball, currently working at the University of California, Berkeley during his sabbatical, is one of the directors of NEXTOR, the National Center of Excellence for Aviation Operations Research.
