Cell-based sensors featured in The Scientist
The life sciences magazine, The Scientist, recently ran a story on new "cell-based sensors-on-a-chip" technology being developed by three A. James Clark School of Engineering faculty members.
Associate Professors Pamela Abshire (ECE/ISR), Elisabeth Smela (ME), and Benjamin Shapiro (AE/ISR) spoke to The Scientist's reporter about collaborating across engineering disciplines as they create new sensors that take advantage of the sensory capabilities of biological cells.
