Ghodssi selected for ROSS-2004 award
Assistant Professor Reza Ghodssi (ECE/ISR) has received a ROSS-2004 award for Phase Fresnel Lens development. This three-year award is worth a total of $450K. The program had significant visibility at NASA this year, in part due to important contributions from two of Ghodssi's graduate students, Brian Morgan and Mike Waits (currently working full time at the Army Research Laboratory while also a Ph.D. student in the ECE department). It holds great potential for space applications.
The work was done in collaboration with Dr. John Krizmanic and his colleagues at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). This is excellent news for the "MEMS-based Gray-Scale Technology" research activity in Ghodssi's research group, which is currently funded by and in collaboration with ARL.
