ISR alum Andrew Newman promoted at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics LabISR alumnus Andrew Newman has been appointed to the Principal Professional Staff at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). His work focuses on data fusion and sensor resource management for military intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems.
Newman graduated with a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1999. His advisor was Professor P.S. Krishnaprasad. Upon graduation he joined Alphatech, Inc., Arlington, Va. In 2003 he began work for the JHU/APL. He and his wife Cindy are the parents of two young sons.
