Joe Sciamanna is the owner of Heliostatix Biotechnology and is a graduate of the Clark School's chemical engineering program. He started his business while he was a junior, using research he performed on drug delivery. Within a year of graduating, he built a multi-million dollar business using what he learned over his Clark School career.
This lecture will highlight Joe's experience starting a biotech company as an undergraduate chemical engineering student. It will go over his story and highlight insightful lessons he learned including time constraints and startup funding. This lecture will show students that starting a business early is not only possible but extremely advantageous.
