Palathra, de Pilar Leon to gain international research experience
Two graduate students of Associate Professor Ray Adomaitis (ChEBE/ISR) will be participating in international research experiences this summer.
Thomas Palathra has won a National Science Foundation grant under the East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes for U.S. Graduate Students (EAPSI) program. He will spend eight weeks this summer working in the research group of Professor Arthur Tay in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at the National University of Singapore. Palathra will be working on modeling and control of photolithography systems for microelectronics manufacturing.
Maria del Pilar Leon has been invited to participate in the 2008 American Advanced Study Institute on Emerging Trends in Process Systems Engineering in
Mar del Plata, Argentina, August 12-21. This institute brings graduate students, postdocs, and other researchers together for a workshop focusing on current topics in chemical process systems engineering. Financial support for the invited students is provided by NSF and the Department of Energy.
