Xuze Zhang wins outstanding graduate student award from the Washington Statistical Society

The Washington Statistical Society (WSS) has chosen Mathematics Ph.D. candidate Xuze Zhang as the 2023 University of Maryland outstanding graduate student for Statistics and Mathematics. The award presentation is in Washington, D.C. on June 21.

Zhang is being honored for his Ph.D. thesis work, which covers two different topics, “Extension of the density ratio model to time series,” and “Applications of lagged coherence in brain research.”

He is a student of ISR-affiliated Professor Benjamin Kedem (Math), and previously earned an M.A. in Statistics with Kedem in 2018.
