David Lovell (CEE/ISR) has been promoted to the rank of full Professor by University of Maryland President Wallace H. Loh, effective July 1.

David joined the university of Maryland in 1997, and is a joint appointee of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Institute for Systems Research. His research interests are in geometric methods of transportation facility design; sensors in civil engineering applications; vehicle technology; traffic engineering, operations and control; dynamic retroreflective and electrophoretic materials for transportation applications.
